RUFF-WAN has been actively involved in the entertainment industry through many endeavours since 1997. He started out in community theatre groups, youth clubs and eventually he formed a music group with a friend that received a lot of interest since their first public performances, opening for groups like SKEEM and TRYBE. He had the unique opportunity to share the stage with those seasoned artists and now he is ready to showcase his extraordinary talent. During a fateful meeting with record producer Jonathan Shaw at the music industry trade conference, Moshito, in 2005, he landed a record deal with Ibilion Records. He has completed an album that will challenge the hip hop industry of South Africa and its neighbouring countries. This debut album, entitled MURWA MUTHU: D.A.V.I.C., contains spiritual, thought provoking lyrics and beats that will rock the raw African continent.
RUFF-WAN is not only a Hip Hop artist but a poet, community builder and motivational speaker working with disadvantaged youth, prison inmates and church groups all across the country.
